“If at all the movie Komban has to be remade in Kannada, then it’s only for Shiva Rajkumar” says M Muthaiah of Kollywood who was recently in the news for bagging the Remake Rights of the Blockbuster film Tagaru. The director who is known for rural drama films started his career with the movie Kutti Puli in the year 2013, which had M Sasikumar and Lakshmi Menon in the lead.
He is currently busy with the film Devarattam and likely to start working on the Komban’s remake in Kannada as soon as he wraps up Devarattam. KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner Studio Green will be bankrolling this venture, who also produced Komban in Tamil.
In the interim, Shiva Rajkumar has a number of films lined up for release, including GVR Vasu’s Kavacha and Ravivarma’s Rustum which is likely to release in Hindi as well. Apart from these two movies, soon he will be seen in Pramod Chakravarthy’s Drona, P Vasu’s Anand, SRK with Lakki Gopal, an untitled film with Yograj Bhat, Chandrashekar Bandiyappa’s Vairamudi, Bhairathi Ranagal with the Mufti director Narthan which also marks his 125th film, He is also likely to make a film with Nanda Kishore. Looks like the Century Star never wants to take a break, who loves to keep himself busy with the films!
