This week there were three films that got released at the Kannada Box Office which are Amma I Love You, Kattu Kathe and Megha Alias Maggi.
Out of these three films, it was only Chiranjeevi Sarja’s Amma I Love You along with previously released Sharan starrer Raambo 2 has high scoring at namma Sandalwood Box Office. Raambo 2 is still going strong at the Ticket Counters because of total Mass Entertainment attached to the film. Raambo 2 has now opened in overseas as well with a bumper response!
Amma I Love You which is produced by Dwarkish Chitra and directed by K M Chaitanya opened to a very good response all over Karnataka. What worked in the favor of the film is absolutely some amazing performances with a lovely and family oriented story-line which was appreciated by the audiences and critics as well.
The first week recovery of Amma I Love You can be easily counted as 1 Crore to 1.20 Crores. The film also has a lot of potential to sustain at the Box Office. And in coming weeks, if no big competition arrives, Amma I Love You will grow more.
The other two releases which were Kattu Kathe and Megha Alias Maggi were sadly rejected by the audience. Both the films, despite of good plot, failed to pull the crowd at Cinema Halls and both the films will turn out to be a Deficit.
Our Exhibitor cum Distributor Madhu C P (Of Basaveshwara Picture Palace, Chitradurga and Jaishree Theatre, Harihar) analyses the business and comments “Amma I Love You and Raambo 2 are strong at the Box Office while Kattu Kathe and Megha Alias Maggi both are Deficit”.
On the ongoing Kannada Film flow, Madhu further elaborates and requests “I would want to request all the Film makers, Actors, Producers of Sandalwood to please improve our Kannada Film Industry by making good films and choosing the right scripts. We Cinema Owners have nothing but just one business; to run Kannada Films. If the makers don’t give us good Kannada Films, how will the audience come to Theater and how will we all earn?”.
